Forward Lunge

  1. Stand upright with your feet shoulder-width apart and a dumbbell in each hand, arms at your sides.
  2. Step forward with your right foot, lowering your body until your right thigh is parallel to the ground and your right knee is directly over your ankle. The heel of your back foot should be raised and your left knee should hover just above the floor.
  3. Push through your right heel to return to the starting position, bringing your right foot back to starting position.
  4. Repeat with your left foot. This is one repetition.
  5. Perform the movement for the desired number of repetitions.
